PLAY-BY-PLAY
Three-consecutive kills from Meg Brown, Rachel Ahrens and Isabel Zelaya kicked off the match with a 3-0 Waves run to set the tone for most of the match.  That early lead would be one the Waves would keep throughout and after a 12-11 lead, blocks from Brown and Zelaya and smashes from Ahrens and Shannon Scully put the squad on a 9-3 run.  Pepperdine would use the momentum to secure a 25-18 first set win.

The second set began with a Pilots lead and one they would hold until the 15-15 mark when Ahrens posted a pair of aces to give the Waves the edge.  Pepperdine would continue to go point-for-point to a 21-21 tied score before O'Harra and Ahrens connected on a block collaboration.  Ahrens then posted another kill before O'Harra posted another block, this time with Emma Ammerman.  The Waves used that energy to send another attack attempt to Ahrens on the right side, which she put away for the 25-23 win.

Each side went point-for-point throughout most of the third set, but Portland was able to secure a 25-20 win to force a fourth set.

In the fourth, the Waves made sure to kick the energy up a notch, starting with a Scully ace and smashes from Brown and Ahrens to open.  Another Ahrens ace and multiple kills rom Brown put the Waves ahead 14-9.  Isabel Zelaya followed that up with an ace and O'Harra and Ammerman connected with a rejection at net to keep the Waves going and Brown and Ahrens finished the match up with a pair of kills and the 25-15 set win.
