Three Waves Earn Women’s Volleyball All-WCC First Team Honors

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Pepperdine women's volleyball sophomores Ella Piskorz and Chloe Pravednikov, along with freshman Tristen Raymond, were named to the All-West Coast Conference First Team, announced today by the conference.

In addition, Raymond landed on the WCC All-Freshman Team, while junior Laine Briggs received All-WCC Honorable Mention.

The quartet helped with the Waves to a 21-8 overall record this season which included a 15-3 mark in WCC play, as Pepperdine finished in solo possession of the second place in the conference. The year featured Pepperdine's first ranked victory since 2022, taking down No. 19 UCLA in September and three victories over top-100 RPI opponents. The Waves finished the season ranked No. 43 in the NCAA RPI.

The three first team honorees is the second most of any school, trailing only San Diego's four.

All-WCC First Team
Ella Piskorz, Sophomore, Middle Blocker (Mississauga, Ontario, Canada / Philip Pocock Catholic Secondary School)
Piskorz solidified herself as one of the top middle blockers in the country this season, ranking 19th in the nation with 151 total blocks. That total along with her 1.42 blocks per set each led the West Coast Conference with her blocks per set leading the conference by a .22 margin while being 22nd-best in the country. Her 351.5 points ranked 12th in the WCC, as she paced the Waves this season in points and blocks. Piskorz recorded five or more blocks in 13 matches this season, had double-digit kills in 10 matches and recorded multiple digs in 21 matches. This marks the second straight All-WCC First Team season for Piskorz, who was an All-WCC Preseason Team honoree while winning three WCC Defensive Player of the Week awards this season.=

Pravednikov finished the season with a team-leading 310 kills which ranked 11th in the WCC during her sophomore campaign. Her 338 points ranked 16th in the conference and second on the team behind Piskorz. The sophomore added 155 digs and 39 blocks defensively. Pravednikov was consistent for the Waves with double digit kills in 20 matches throughout the season, with a career-high 20 kills coming against Oregon State in October. This marks back-to-back seasons in which Pravednikov received postseason accolades from the WCC, as she was named to the All-Freshman Team in 2024.

Tristen Raymond, Freshman, Setter (Peoria, Ariz. / Liberty)
Raymond earned a spot on the All-WCC First Team and All-Freshman team following a standout debut campaign with the Waves, in which she emerged as the team's starting setter. Her 749 assists ranks fourth in the WCC while ranking fifth with 7.07 assists per set. She logged 30-plus assists in 10 of the final 11 games this season and had double-digit assists in 28 of 29 matches on the year. Raymond also ranked second on the team with 272 digs, fourth on the squad with 73 blocks, while being sixth on the team with 133 kills. Raymond earned a pair of WCC Setter of the Week honors this season along with a WCC Freshman of the Week award.

All-WCC Honorable Mention
Laine Briggs, Junior, Libero/Defensive Specialist (Costa Mesa, Calif.)
Briggs earned All-WCC honorable mention following a standout season as Pepperdine's starting libero. Briggs ranked third in the WCC with 3.69 digs per set while being fourth in the WCC with 391 digs. She had a conference-high 51 services aces on the season, with her .48 service aces per set ranking 22nd in the country. Briggs recorded double-digit digs in 24 of 29 matches this season and had multiple aces in 18 matches. This marks the first postseason accolade for Briggs, who earned a WCC Defensive Player of the Week honor earlier this season.
