PEPPERDINE XC 2019 (SO): Competed in one of the six meets ... Ran 32:16.34 at the UC Riverside Invitational (9/14).
 
PEPPERDINE TRACK 2020 (SO): Took part in both outdoor meets before the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic ... Ran the 200 and 400 one time each.
 
PEPPERDINE TRACK 2019 (FR): Ran at nine of 10 events ... Moved to #4 on the all-time 400 meters list with a 51.86 at the Beach Invitational (4/20) ... Part of the 4x400 relay team that set the school record (3:22.78 at Pomona-Pitzer on 4/6) ... Primarily ran the 800 (best of 1:59.39 at Pomona-Pitzer on 4/6) ... Also ran the 400 and the mile once each.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from the Tri-State Christian Academy, located in Elkton, Md., in 2018 ... Ran four years of varsity cross country ... His high school did not have a track team ... Earned Mid-Atlantic League all-conference honors all four years ... Was conference MVP and set the championship course record in 2017 ... Also lettered in swimming.
 
CLUB: Ran with the Delaware Elite Track Club in 2017 and 2018 ... Earned USATF Junior All-American honors in the 4x800.
 
PERSONAL: Majoring in pre-international business ... Born in Queens, N.Y. ... Son of Carol Mason and Anthony Shahadi ... Has six siblings ... Chose to attend Pepperdine because it “had a very good undergraduate business program and the school’s environment was very welcoming.”
