Biography

PEPPERDINE TRACK 2021 (SR): Finished his collegiate career ranked in Pepperdine’s top-10 for the 400 meters (#1) and the 800 meters (#9) ... Raced at seven of the eight meets ... Competed in three events ... Broke the 400-meter record twice, first with a 50.21 at Azusa Pacific (4/16) and then with a 50.00 the next day in the finals (4/17) ... Best 800 was a 2:00.71 at the WCC Distance Carnival on 5/8 .... Best 200 was a 23.31 at Azusa Pacific on 4/10.
 
PEPPERDINE TRACK 2020 (JR): Competed at both outdoor meets before the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic ... Had the team’s top time in the 400 meters (51.17 at Long Beach on 3.7) and also ran the 200 and 800 (best of 1:59.52 at Santa Barbara on 2/22).
 
PEPPERDINE TRACK 2019 (SO): Set three school records, two individually and one as part of a relay ... Ran 50.79 to set the 400 record at the Beach Invitational (4/20) ... Set the 400-meter hurdles record with a 1:00.94 at UC San Diego (4/13), then lowered it to 59.66 seconds at the Beach Invitational (4/20) ... Part of the 4x400 relay team that set the school record (3:22.78 at Pomona-Pitzer on 4/6) ... Competed at nine of 10 events ... Also competed in the 200 (best of 23.38 at the Beach Invitational on 4/19) and the 800 (best of 1:59.23 at Cal Poly on 3/23) multiple times, plus the mile once.
 
PEPPERDINE TRACK 2018 (FR): Competed at eight of the nine meets ... Moved into #4 on the Waves’ all-time list in the 400 meters with a 52.36 at the Ben Brown Invitational (3/10) ... Part of a school-record 4x400 relay team ... Also ran the 200 (best of 23.69 at Riverside CC on 3/3) and the 800 (best of 1:56.88 at Cal Poly on 3/24).
 
PEPPERDINE XC 2020-21 (SR): Did not compete during the shortened season.
 
PEPPERDINE XC 2019 (JR): Competed in five of the six meets ... Ran a season-best 8K of 27:32.3 at the Bronco Invitational (10/19).
 
PEPPERDINE XC 2017 (FR): Ran at the first four meets of the season ... Had a season-best 8K of 28:16.6 at the Capital Cross Challenge (9/30).
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Troy (Mich.) High School in 2017 ... Ran three years of varsity track and two of cross country ... Was his cross country's team's Outstanding Senior and was the top scorer on the track team as a senior ... Team won a league track title in 2017 ... Was on the honor roll all four years.
 
CLUB: Ran with Motor City Track Club and Breen Track Club ... Was a Junior Olympics qualifier and five-time all-state finisher.
 
PERSONAL: Majoring in psychology ... Born in Nashville, Tenn. ... Son of Nicole Calloway, Demoris Calloway and LeDarius Davis ... His father LeDarius competed in track and field at Eastern Michigan ... Has five siblings: DeShaun, Deja, LeDarius, Anayya and Brenna ... FAVORITES: Enjoys painting, cooking and listening to music ... Favorites include Matthew Centrowitz Jr. and Clayton Murphy (pro athletes), Team USA (pro sports team), Things Fall Apart (book), Unbroken (movie), Empire (TV show), tacos (food) and volleyball (sport other than running) ... Favorite part of running is "the family aspect of the sport. People think it's all competition but out of that competition comes a bonded family that you will never forget."
