A NEW HOME FOR PEPPERDINE GOLF
Located on the second floor of Firestone Fieldhouse within the Charles B. Runnels Sports and Recreation Village, the Pepperdine Golf Clubhouse provides the men's and women's golf programs with an exclusive, dedicated on-campus home and training facility in Malibu for the first time.
BUILT FOR PERFORMANCE
Cutting-edge indoor golf performance technology ensures that the golfers receive precise feedback and prepare for peak competition. Highlights include TrackMan iO hitting bays and one of the largest TOURPUTT simulators in the United States, allowing players to refine every aspect of their game year-round.
The locker rooms give space for each program to build a distinctive home around the identity and tradition of each program. The players lounge gives a comfortable gathering space for student-athletes to recharge, connect and rest away from competition. The boardroom-style conference room provides coaches and student-athletes with a setting for team meetings and strategy sessions. The facility also includes private study areas to allow student-athletes to stay hone in on their academic responsibilities in a quiet and comfortable setting.

Several spaces within the Golf Clubhouse carry the names of donors and families whose support has played a pivotal role in the project. These recognitions honor their commitment to the Pepperdine Athletics vision of championship athletics rooted in Christian values, academic excellence and community.
Catherine and Christopher Bollinger — Bollinger Family Clubhouse Foyer
Since Jackson (’22) and Grace (’23) Bollinger each graduated from Seaver College, Chris and Catherine Bollinger have continued to invest in Pepperdine’s mission and growth, with a particular enthusiasm for Waves golf. Chris serves as president of Bollinger Enterprises and is on the board of trustees at Belmont University. Catherine is the owner and founder of C&C Design Co., a Nashville-based interior design and staging company. Pepperdine is pleased to honor this devoted Waves family in the clubhouse foyer, a meaningful point of entry to the building where many student-athletes, coaches, and alumni will be welcomed over the years.
Shelle and Mark Ensio — Ensio Family Men’s Locker Room
A member of the Pepperdine Board of Regents for more than a decade, Shelle Ensio and her husband, Mark, have been dedicated supporters of both the Waves men’s and women’s golf programs. They wasted little time getting deeply involved in the Pepperdine community once their eldest daughter, Anja (’09), began her studies at Seaver College; in the years since, their other two daughters, Kylli (’12) and Martta (’17), earned undergraduate degrees at Pepperdine as well. The Ensios reside in Tucson, Arizona, where Mark serves as president of Ballast Technologies, a firm that supplies and installs ballast for ships and offshore structures.
Amy and Jono Huddleston — JonJon’s Way
After the Pepperdine Athletics Board extended an invitation to Jono Huddleston last year, the group was thrilled when the former Lipscomb University tennis player accepted. With a firsthand knowledge of college athletics, Jono provides valued insight for our Waves teams and student-athletes. Jono is the CEO and owner of DNI Corp, a company specializing in high-volume print and mailing needs, and he and his wife Amy reside in the Nashville region. Proud parents of three, including Belle and current Seaver College junior Vivy, the Huddlestons are pleased to celebrate their youngest child, JonJon, and his great love for sports by naming the main corridor of the clubhouse in his honor.
Denise and Darren (MBA ’95) Pitts — Denise and Darren Pitts Assistant Coach’s Office
Darren and Denise Pitts are dedicated Pepperdine supporters, active community leaders in Phoenix, Arizona, and proud parents of Seaver College alumna Denae (’25). Darren, executive vice president and principal at Velocity Retail Group, earned his MBA in finance from Pepperdine’s Graziadio Business School and serves on the University Board. Deeply committed to student success, the couple established the Darren and Denise Pitts Endowed Scholarship to assist Seaver College students with tuition. Faithful Pepperdine Associates and passionate champions of Waves golf, they actively support the men’s and women’s programs, with Darren regularly competing in the annual Wave Classic Golf Tournament.
Twanna (MBA ’77) and Tim (MBA ’77) Rogers — Twanna and Tim Rogers Player Development Wing
Graziadio Business School alumni Twanna and Tim Rogers co-founded Tower Energy Group in 1989 and built a thriving fuel retail and grocery business along the West Coast. In 2012, they expanded their entrepreneurial vision with the opening of The Thermal Club, a private automotive facility featuring world-class road courses, fine dining, and luxury amenities. Devoted fans of coach Michael Beard (’02) and the Pepperdine men’s golf team, Twanna and Tim have created a remarkable legacy of support for Waves student-athletes. Their generous investment in the clubhouse Player Development Wing has helped establish an elite campus training environment, positioning current and future teams for even greater success.
Chantil (’93) and Christopher (’93) Ruud — Ruud Family Putting Lab
Chantil and Christopher Ruud have been faithful supporters of their alma mater since graduating from Seaver College. With degrees in biology and computer science, respectively, they have served in the veterinary and aviation industries, dividing their time between Florida and Wisconsin. Previously a member of the University Board, Christopher joined the Board of Regents in 2025 to continue serving Pepperdine beyond the couple’s dedicated support for the men’s and women’s golf teams, the Natural Science Division, and the Sigma Chi Fraternity Endowed Scholarship, among many other University efforts. As a family devoted to participation in many sports, the Ruuds’ support for the Golf Clubhouse is deeply appreciated.
Eric Saxvik (’93) — 1997 NCAA Men’s Golf Championship Team Hitting Bay
Eric Saxvik was a member of the Waves men’s golf team in 1990 and went on to win the Hong Kong Amateur Championship in 1997 and played in four Eisenhower World Amateur championships. We are grateful that he has given so generously to ensure that the Waves golfers who follow in his footsteps have all the resources they need to succeed. After earning his bachelor’s degree in Asian studies, Eric spent nearly two decades as a Hong Kong-based managing director for UBS before returning to the United States. In addition to being a dedicated Waves golf booster, Eric is a member of both the Pepperdine Associates and the Pepperdine University Board.
Karen and Jon (’01) Schwartz — Schwartz Family Assistant Coach’s Office
An enthusiastic sports fan and devoted golfer, Jon Schwartz (’01) actively rallies support for our Waves men’s golf team and our Waves golf initiatives. From their home in Scottsdale, Arizona, Jon and his wife, Karen, stay deeply tied to Pepperdine alongside their four sons, Christian, Crew, Gunnar, and Doriano. Jon is the CEO of SOLink Energy Ventures, a development company creating sustainable energy solutions for rural communities, and a member of our University Board. We are thankful for his continued confidence in our vision for the future of athletics, and we are so pleased to add the Schwartz Family name to our stunning new clubhouse.
Hubie Smith — Hubie Smith Players Lounge
Recognized as Pepperdine’s “Minister of Golf” by President Gash, Hubie Smith has been a champion of Waves golf for nearly a decade. A member of our Athletics Board, Hubie and his wife, Dee Anna (’86)—a distinguished Pepperdine alumna and chair of the Board of Regents—exemplify our mission through their extraordinary leadership and commitment. As a retired hall-of-fame basketball coach and educator, Hubie understands the importance of creating experiences that build character, strengthen community, and prepare students for lives of purpose. Pepperdine is grateful for the opportunity to honor Hubie’s continuing support and service with this meaningful named space within our new golf facility.
Tisha and Bobby Walton — Bobby and Tisha Walton Hitting Bay
Bobby and Tisha Walton are cofounders of Waltwood Properties LLC, a thriving real estate management company in the San Diego area. They are proud parents of two daughters, Charlotte and Ava—who is in her second year at Seaver College. Both Tisha and Bobby are members of the Pepperdine Parents and Family Council, and Bobby also serves on the Athletics Board. They are grateful for Pepperdine’s commitment to education and athletics that integrate spiritual formation and inspire excellence. In addition to the hitting bay we are celebrating today, the Waltons have also committed to naming a space in the Mountain in honor of their daughters.
Deborah (’85) and Gary Weiss — Biggers and Weiss Family Hitting Bay
The daughter of longtime Board of Regents chair Ed Biggers, Deborah Weiss and her husband, Gary, are continuing a family legacy that has made an indelible impact on the entire University community. Tucson, Arizona residents, Deborah recently retired after a remarkable 40-year career in the hospitality industry—including serving as group sales manager for the Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa since 2016, while Gary is in real estate. Their son, Matthew, earned his bachelor’s degree in sports medicine from Seaver College in 2019. In addition to their consistent support for a variety of University programs, we are grateful to Deborah for her leadership on the University Board.

On September 4, 2026, Pepperdine officially opened the Golf Clubhouse alongside student-athletes, coaches, alumni, donors and members of the University community.
