Track Teams Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Designation

MALIBU, Calif. – The Pepperdine men's and women's track programs have both been named 2026 NCAA Division I All-Academic Teams by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), as announced this afternoon. Women's squad standout Lizzy Crawford also earned individual All-Academic recognition.
"I am so proud of our team and their accomplishments in the classroom," head coach Lauren Floris said. "They work so hard and are deserving of this designation."
To qualify for All-Academic Team status, a team must post a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Individual All-Academic honors require a minimum 3.25 GPA and competition in at least one round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Both Pepperdine teams posted a collective 3.5 GPA, the second-highest mark among all of the university's sponsored sports. Crawford combined a standout season (becoming the first woman in program history to qualify for an NCAA Track Regional) with academic excellence, thus becoming women's track's inaugural athlete to earn individual USTFCCCA honors.
ABOUT PEPPERDINE CROSS COUNTRY/TRACK
The Pepperdine cross country/track program has a rich history dating back to the 1950s with six total individual national championships to come through the program. As one of the original three programs sponsored by then George Pepperdine College in 1937, the Waves immediately began to make a mark on the track world stage with eight total Olympians and multiple regional champions throughout the program's history.Â
