ACADEMIC AWARDS: Pepperdine Scholar-Athlete in 2018-19 and 2019-20.
 
PEPPERDINE OUTDOOR TRACK 2020 (JR): Took part in both outdoor meets before the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic ... Had the team’s best times of the season in the 200 meters (26.20 at Santa Barbara on 2/22) and the 100-meter hurdles (14.97 at Santa Barbara on 2/22).
 
PEPPERDINE INDOOR TRACK 2020 (JR): Competed in two of the three indoor meets ... Had the team’s best times in the 60 meters (7.88 at Boise State on 2/7), the 200 meters (26.55 at New Mexico on 1/24) and the 60-meter hurdles (8.97 at New Mexico on 1/25).
 
PEPPERDINE OUTDOOR TRACK 2019 (SO): Ran at eight of 10 meets ... Set the school record in the 100-meter hurdles four times, with a best of 14.43 seconds at the Beach Invitational (4/20) ... Moved to #3 on Pepperdine’s all-time list in the 100 with a 12.28 at UC Irvine (3/16) and #4 in the 200 with a 25.60 at UC San Diego (4/13) ... Had the team’s top times of the season in those events ... Won the 100, 200 and 100 hurdles at UC Santa Barbara (2/16).
 
PEPPERDINE INDOOR TRACK 2019 (SO): Took part in three meets ... Lowered her own school record in the 60-meter hurdles three times, with a best of 8.96 seconds at Boise State (2/1) ... Also had the team’s season-best times in the 60 meters (7.82 at Washington on 2/8) and 200 (26.40 at New Mexico on 1/18).
 
PEPPERDINE OUTDOOR TRACK 2018 (FR): Competed at the first two outdoor meets ... Had the team’s top times in the 100 (12.93) and 200 (27.07), both at Westmont (2/17).
 
PEPPERDINE INDOOR TRACK 2018 (FR): Ran at both indoor meets ... Set a program record in the 60-meter hurdles with a 9.46 at Boise State (2/2) ... Also had the team’s top times in the 60 (8/17) and 200 (27.66), both at Boise State (2/2).
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Kent-Meridian High School, located in Kent, Wash., in 2017 ... Ran four years of varsity track ... Had multiple top-seven finishes at the state meet, including fifth in the 300 hurdles as a junior and sixth in the 100 hurdles as both a sophomore and junior ... Won league titles in the 100 and 300 hurdles as a junior ... Also lettered in gymnastics (was a state qualifier as a sophomore) and volleyball ... Graduated in the top five percent of her class and was a member of the National Honor Society.
 
CLUB: Ran for the Xtreme Speed Track Club (2014-16) and Seattle Speed Track Club (2017) ... Competed in the semifinals of the USATF women's 17-18 division of the 100 hurdles.
 
PERSONAL: Majoring in sports medicine ... Born in Seattle, Wash. ... Daughter of Joey and Caryl Tongco ... Has two siblings, Jomari and Jonah ... Chose to attend Pepperdine because "there are many reasons but the main ones are because I am able to get a stellar education along with being able to pursue my passion for track while strengthening my relationship with God."
 
FAVORITES: Enjoys baking, watching the Food Network and sleeping ... Favorites include Kristi Castlin (pro athlete), Seattle Supersonics (pro team), Milk and Honey (book), Stick It (movie), Chopped (TV show), SOBxRBE (musical artist), Thai (food) and volleyball and gymnastics (sports other than running) ... Favorite thing about running is "the feeling of competition."
