Pepperdine Coach Marty Wilson said: "We challenged them at halftime. Our energy wasn't great at the start and we were standing around against their zone. We weren't executing, and there was no real flow to our offense in the first half. We got after them in the locker room and they really responded.
"Colbey Ross stepped up and made some big plays on both ends of the court. He played like a senior. With Kam and Trae in foul trouble, we had numerous guys step up. I'm proud of the guys' response to the challenge at halftime."
