MALIBU, Calif. — Pepperdine men's basketball head coach Griff Aldrich has announced the signing of forward Faruk Biberovic from Turkey ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Biberovic is a 6-10 forward from Istanbul, Turkey, who most recently played for Fenerbahçe II in the Turkish TBL for three seasons from 2023-26.
"We are excited to have Faruk join our program," said Aldrich. "A versatile forward with the proven ability to shoot at a high-level, Faruk will be a great fit for our style of play and provide a dynamic offensive threat at the forward position."
Biberovic posted 11.7 points and 6.4 rebounds this past season with Fenerbahçe II, averaging 28.5 minutes per game. He asserted himself as one of the top shooters in the league, shooting at a .453 clip from three-point range and .921 from the charity stripe.
He built off a 2024-25 season in which he recorded 8.4 points and 4.1 boards per game with a .473 mark from three-point distance. He also debuted for Fenerbahçe BEKO, the club's top-tier team in the Turkish Basketball Super League. Overall, he appeared in six games for BEKO across the past two seasons.
Biberovic's professional career started in 2023, where he made 22 appearances for Fenerbahçe II, contributing 3.7 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.
He has also represented Turkey at the national level, including at 2023 Euro U18s, where he helped the squad to a quarterfinals berth. Biberovic saw minutes in all seven contests, logging 3.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per contest as Turkey picked up wins over Poland, Croatia and Lithuania.
