STOCKTON, Calif. -- Lamond Murray Jr. scored 20 points, Stacy Davis had another double-double and Amadi Udenyi made a game-saving steal as the Pepperdine men's basketball team edged Pacific, 65-63, in overtime in West Coast Conference play on Saturday night.

Combined with Thursday's victory at Saint Mary's, the Waves (16-10, 9-6 WCC) swept this weekend's Northern California road trip and beat the Tigers (7-17, 5-9) for the fifth straight time.

The Tigers sent the game to overtime with an Ilias Theodorou three-pointer with 17.2 seconds left, and had the final possession of OT after junior guard Jeremy Major (Pasadena, Calif./Maranatha HS) made one of two free throws with 15.1 seconds left.

A Tiger player drove to the basket but got stuck. Udenyi (Oakland, Calif./De La Salle HS) snagged a pass intended for a three-point shooter with a couple of seconds left, and he ran out the clock.

As with the game against Saint Mary's, free throws played a big role. The Waves went 20-for-31 (64.5%) while the Tigers made just nine of 21 (42.9%).

Pacific outshot Pepperdine, 40.0% to 38.9%. The Waves had a 46-33 rebounding edge (and a 9-0 advantage in second-chance points), but the Tigers countered with a 14-8 advantage in points off turnovers after forcing 16 Wave miscues.

Murray (Los Angeles, Calif./Bishop Montgomery HS) recorded his eighth 20-point game of the season and also had eight rebounds. Davis (Laveen, Ariz./Fairfax HS) notched his 11th double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds, and he heads into next week's homestand needing just nine points to become the school's all-time leading scorer.

Major had 11 points and Udenyi and senior forward Jett Raines (Coppell, Texas/Coppell HS) each scored eight points, and Raines also had eight rebounds.

The Waves led by as many as nine late in the first half, but the Tigers went into the break on an 11-0 run and with a 27-25 lead.

Pacific got the opening basket of the second half to extend the run to 13 points and take its biggest lead of the night at four points. The game stayed close the rest of the way and the biggest lead of the second half came with 39.5 seconds left when Udenyi made two free throws, putting Pepperdine ahead 55-50.

But the Tigers' Ray Bowles sank a three-pointer at the other end to cut it to two. Davis made one of two free throws with 26.7 seconds left, and then Theodorou's three-pointer tied it up at 56. The Waves had the last possession of regulation but couldn't get a shot off.

The Waves never trailed in overtime. Tied at 59, Udenyi made a free throw with a little more than two mnutes left, and then Davis found Murray for a lay-up with less than 1 1/2 minutes remaining, making it 62-59.

After a Pacific basket, Davis made two free throws with 24.5 seconds left, getting the lead back up to three at 64-61. The Waves fouled at the other end, and Pacific's Alec Kobre (game-high 22 points) made two free throws with 21.1 seconds left, leading to the Major free throw and the Udenyi steal at the end.

Pepperdine returns home for its final two regular-season home games next weekend. The Waves host San Francisco on Thursday (Feb. 18) at 7 p.m. and Santa Clara on Saturday (Feb. 20) at 5 p.m. Both games will be shown on Time Warner Cable Sports Net. Pepperdine Hall of Famer Al Epstein will also have the call of both games on WaveCasts at PepperdineSports.com.
