Pepperdine sophomore forward Megan Woods was named to the 2003 Academic All-District VIII second team, it was announced by the College Sports Information Directors Of America (CoSida) on Thursday.

Woods currently has 3.424 grade-point average while majoring in telecommunications and has been one the Waves' top offensive players this season. Prior to missing the last five matches due to medical reasons, Woods ranked second on the team with 16 points (5 goals, six assists).

The Carlsbad, California, native received honorable mention All-West Coast Conference (WCC) accolades last season after totaling 22 points.

Pepperdine, currently 12-5-1 on the season and 2-3-1 in WCC play, concludes its regular-season on Saturday when it travels the Bay Area face San Francisco at Negoesco Stadium beginning at 1 p.m.
