PEPPERDINE OUTDOOR TRACK 2023 (FR): Competed in four out of nine meets … Ran in the 200 and 100 meters as well as in the 4x100 relays … Had a season-best of 28.59 in the 200 meter at the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner Kersee Collegiate (3/25). Earned a season-best in the 100 meter of 13.84 at the Beach Opener (3/3).

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Durango (Colo.) High School in 2022 … Helped the Durango track team to a Southwest 4A/5A championship her senior season … Earned Track Academic All-State first team honors … Was part of the 4x400 meter relay team that placed 10th at state … Received Newcomer of the Year Award … Collected a second-place finish in the 400 meters at the Southwestern League meet … A scholar-athlete … Also played soccer and swam sophomore year … Had personal bests of 23:43.40 in the 5K, 13.09 in the 100 meters, 27.79 in the 200 meters and a 1:00.40 400 meter split. 

PERSONAL: Born in Durango, Colo. … Daughter of Angela and Byron Turner … Grandfather played college basketball at the University of Kansas with Wilt Chamberlain … An interesting fact she states is “I am scuba certified in two landlocked states and have dove in the second largest reef in the world. I am also a sailing instructor and an artist” … Chose Pepperdine because “Pepperdine has been my dream school since I first visited the campus. I instantly fell in love and felt at home on campus. I chose Pepperdine because of its rigorous academics and welcoming community. I am inspired by the students and faculty and how they strive for success in the classroom, during extracurricular activities and exploring spiritual faith.” 

FAVORITES: Enjoys sailing, art, longboarding, exploring, surfing, scuba diving and spending time with friends … Favorites include Mia Hamm (pro athlete), Edmonton Oilers (pro team), Ceremony (book), Star Wars series (movies), Ozark (TV Show), Pink Floyd (musical artist), pad kee mao (food) and soccer, hockey and sailing/regatta (sports other than running).
