PEPPERDINE OUTDOOR TRACK 2024 (SR): Competed in seven outdoor track meets, specializing in both hurdle events and the 4x400-meter relay ... Helped Pepperdine run the second-fastest 4x400-meter relay time in program history at the Franson Last Chance Meet (5/10) ... Ran the program's third-fastest 400-meter hurdles time with her time of 1:03.52 at the Triton Invite (4/4-5) ... Moved up to fourth on the program's top-10 100-meter hurdles leaderboard with her time of 15.38 seconds at the Vince O'Boyle Invite (3/28-29).
PEPPERDINE INDOOR TRACK 2025 (SR): Competed in three indoor track meets, specializing in the 60-meter hurdles and the 4x400-meter relay ... Ran the second-fastest 60-meter hurdles time in program history with her time of 9.33 seconds at the MPSF Championships (2/21) ... Also ran a leg on Pepperdine's school-record-breaking 4x400-meter relay at the MPSF Championships (2/22).
PEPPERDINE OUTDOOR TRACK 2024 (JR): Competed in six outdoor track meets, specializing in the 100- and 400-meter hurdles ... Ran her season-best time in the 100-meter hurdles and the 400-meter hurdles at the Chris Rinne Invitational (4/19-20) ... Was part of Pepperdine's 4x400-meter relay team twice.
PEPPERDINE INDOOR TRACK 2024 (JR): Competed in three indoor meets, including the MPSF Championships ... Ran her season-best time in the 200-meter dash and the 60-meter hurdles at the MPSF Championships (2/25-26) ... Was part of Pepperdine's 4x400-meter relay team at the MPSF Championships and the New Mexico Collegiate Classic.
PEPPERDINE OUTDOOR TRACK 2023 (SO): Competed in five of the nine meets … Ran in the 200 meters once, 400 meters twice, 400-meter hurdles twice and was a part of both the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay squads … Had the team’s best 400-meter hurdle time with 1:08.38 at the Vince O’Boyle Track and Field Classic (4/1), which marked the ninth fastest time on the Pepperdine all-time list.
PEPPERDINE INDOOR TRACK 2023 (SO): Competed in all three indoor meets … Ran the 200 meters once, the 400 meters three times and was a part of the 4x400-meter relay team … Had a season-best 400 meters of 1:03.48 at the Portland Indoor (2/5).
PEPPERDINE OUTDOOR TRACK 2022 (FR): Ran in seven out of the nine meets … Had the team’s top time in the 100-meter hurdles (16.48 at Rossi Relays 2/26), which is the program’s seventh-fastest all-time … Had bests of 13.66 in the 100 at Oxy Distance Carnival (4/9) and 1:03.92 in the 400 at the Triton Invitational (4/9) … Ran the 200 and 4x400 twice.
PEPPERDINE INDOOR TRACK 2022 (FR): Took part in all three indoor meets, competing in the 60-meter hurdles, 200 meters and the 4x400 meter relay … Had the Waves’ fastest time in the 60-meter hurdles (9.81) and second-fastest in the 200 (27.43), both at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational (2/11).
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Valor Christian High School, located in Highlands Ranch, Colo., in 2021 … Holds the 4x200m relay Jeffco League Record and the 400m shuttle hurdle relay Jeffco League record and state record … Won the Colorado state championship in 2018, 2019, and 2021 … Placed fifth in the 300m hurdles at the state meet as a senior … Took home a silver medal in the 4x200m relay at the state meet as a senior … Placed ninth in the 4x100m relay at the state meet as a senior … Member of the 4x400m relay state championship team as a sophomore … As a sophomore, was a member of the Arcadia Invitational winning the shuttle hurdle relay with the best time in the country in 2019, and the 12th-best time all-time in the United States … 5A Jeffco all-conference first team member as a sophomore … Part of a league record-breaking 4x200m relay team breaking a 38-year old record by four seconds … Member of National Honor Society … Valor Cum Laude Society member at the Magna Cum Laude level … Magna Cum Laude both semesters of freshman, sophomore, and junior years … Summa Cum Laude both semesters of senior year.

Born in Littleton, Colo. … Daughter to Doug and Laura Ortman… Sister to Kenzie… Mom played tennis at the University of Alabama, Huntsville … Dad played baseball at Louisiana Tech University and played minor league baseball in the Oakland A’s farm system … Has two cousins, Kody and Dillon Ortman, who played baseball at Auburn University with Dillon playing in the Anaheim Angels organization … Cousin, Cassidy Ortman, played soccer at Tennessee Tech University… Grandfather, Bill Ortman, played professional baseball for the Cincinnati Reds.
FAVORITES: Hobbies include hanging out with friends, cooking, listening to music, playing ukulele, and outdoor activities … Favorites include Sydney McLaughlin (pro athlete), Dallas Cowboys (pro sports team), Same Kind of Different as Me (book), Miracle (movie), Stranger Things (TV show), Tame Impala (musical artist), burritos (food), and soccer or hockey (sport besides running) ... Favorite thing about running is how challenging yet rewarding it is. “I enjoy the adrenaline that is involved with jumping over hurdles with power and at high speeds, and it has always been super fun for me.”
