Connor Griffin spent three years working with the Pepperdine basketball programs. He was a graduate manager with the men’s team in 2018-19 and 2019-20, then served as the video coordinator for both the men’s and women’s squads in 2020-21.
Griffin earned a master’s degree in dispute resolution in 2020. During his time as graduate manager he was in charge of the men's team's analytics.
Griffin began his college career as a walk-on at Gonzaga, playing in 29 games during the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons. He was part of WCC championships both seasons. The Bulldogs reached the Elite Eight in 2015 and the NCAA’s Round of 32 in 2014.
He then transferred to Washington, where he joined the football team as a walk-on tight end/wide receiver. During his two seasons with the team, which included one start and one catch, the Huskies played in the College Football Playoffs after winning the 2016 Pac-12 Championship. The 2015 team won the Heart of Dallas Bowl.
In the spring of 2017, Griffin joined the men’s basketball team – coached by Lorenzo Romar – as a practice player.
Griffin graduated from Washington in 2017 with a degree in philosophy and a minor in entrepreneurship.
He then spent the 2017-18 school year at Vanguard University, an NAIA school in Costa Mesa, California, where he utilized his final season of basketball eligibility. Griffin was an All-Golden State Athletic Conference selection with the Lions as he averaged 16.1 points and 6.9 rebounds.
A native of Lake Oswego, Oregon, Griffin was an all-state football player and all-league basketball player at Lake Oswego High School.
