ACADEMIC AWARDS: Earned Pepperdine Scholar-Athlete status in 2016-17 and 2017-18.
PEPPERDINE XC 2017 (SO): Was part of Pepperdine's study abroad program during fall 2017.
PEPPERDINE XC 2016 (FR): Did not run cross country her first year.
PEPPERDINE OUTDOOR TRACK 2017 (FR): Ran at just one outdoor meet ... Competed in the both the 100 and 200 at UC Irvine (3/18).
PEPPERDINE INDOOR TRACK 2017 (FR): Competed at both indoor meets ... Ran the 60 twice (best of 8.52 seconds at the NAU Duals on 1/13) and the 200 and 600 once apiece.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from the Sage Hill School, located in Newport Beach, Calif., in 2016 ... Also spent two years at Edison High School ... Ran four years of varsity track and two of cross country ... Was a CIF qualifier in both sports as a senior and sophomore ... Set the school record in the 400 meters at Sage Hill ... A Scholar-Athlete.
PERSONAL: Born in Newport Beach, Calif. ... Daughter of Kurt and Lisa Suhr ... Has one sibling, Gregory ... Her father graduated from Pepperdine's school of public policy and education ... Majoring in political science ... Chose to attend Pepperdine because "I wanted a small private liberal arts college. The fact that it has Division I sports brings so much life and energy to it as well. I also love that it is a Christian school with values."
FAVORITES: Enjoys the beach, music, concerts and shopping ... Favorites include Allyson Felix (pro athlete), FC Barcelona (pro sports team), The Great Gatsby (book), Gone Girl (movie), Homeland (TV show), Drake (musical artist), Italian (food) and soccer (sport other than running) ... Favorite things about running are "the adrenaline rush and the feeling that my hard work has paid off after a challenging practice or a PR in a race."
