PHOENIX, Ariz. – The #18 Pepperdine beach volleyball team succumbed to #7 Grand Canyon, 5-0, to end the Canyon Classic on Saturday afternoon.

After winning both matches on Friday, the Waves (8-3) end the trip 2-1 on the weekend.

MATCH RECAPS
The opposition took the first edge with a pair of two-set wins in the first flight, though the Waves on court six would highlight by splitting their match 18-21, 21-19.

After trailing into the second flight, Pepperdine would be unable to overcome and the Lopes would take two-set wins on courts one, three and five to finish with the sweep.

NEXT UP
On March 25 and 26, the Waves travel to Pismo Beach, Calif. for the West Coast Challenge. Opponents and schedule has yet to be determined.
