SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Pepperdine beach volleyball saw more than half their starters receive West Coast Conference (WCC) end of season awards, as announced this morning.
Michaela Cyrani, Emma Eden, Gabbie Perez, and Maddy Snow were named to the First Team, while Emi Erickson was chosen to the Second Team. Alice Jagielska joined Cyrani and Snow on the All-Freshman Team.
Pepperdine's eight overall selections are the second most of any WCC program this season, and the school's highest since 2024.
"I'm really proud of Team 15 to get these individual awards," head coach Marcio Sicoli said. "I think it shows the direction our program is taking, not only individually, but as a team. Even though our season didn't finish the way we wanted it to, our team should celebrate these awards as we transition onto Team 16."
Emma Eden and Michaela Cyrani both posted a 26-14 season record, making all their appearances together in the first flight. Eden earned the second First-Team selection of her career, also taking home honors last season during her Freshman of the Year campaign. Cyrani, also selected to the All-Freshman Team, garnered her first selection to the conference's First Team. The duo picked up impressive wins against Loyola Marymount, Washington, and Santa Clara this season.
Flight two was the second pair to have both Waves receive top honors. Maddy Snow and Gabbie Perez led the team with a 28-13 record. Perez earned postseason conference accolades for the first time since 2024, when she was named a Second Team selection. The senior from Loomis was also on the 2023 All-Freshman Team. Snow's immediate impact was rewarded, receiving All-Freshman honors and being named one of league's ten best. Flight two had highlight wins over Hawai'i, Tulane, and Washington in 2026.
Emi Erickson rounds out her Waves career with her first All-Conference selection. With an overall mark of 25-17 this year, the senior made the majority of her starts in the fourth slot. A three-time All-Academic Honorable Mention and mainstay in the lineup, Erickson recently received her first WCC Pair of the Week Award alongside Ginevra Merlini (April 13). She won 11 of her 13 matches between late March and early April, and defeated tournament-bound Tulane in the ASICS Classic.
In addition to Snow and Cyrani, Alice Jagielska was the third Pepperdine selection to the All-Freshman Team. The Londoner went 25-17 this season, with all but five starts in flight three. She picked up wins over Cal, Long Beach State, and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in her inaugural season with the Waves. Team 15 started five freshmen in the lineup, signaling Pepperdine's bright future.
