Waves Open Up the 2023-24 Season Against SDSU

MALIBU, Calif. – The Pepperdine women's swim and dive program begins its 2023-24 campaign with a home meet against San Diego State University.

Meet 1: Pepperdine vs. San Diego State | Thursday, Oct. 5 |10:30 a.m. | Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool | Malibu, Calif.
 
The Waves will be led by 15 returning All-PCSC first team performers from a year ago: AJ Adams (Castle Rock, Colo./Valor Christian HS), Alexandra Browne (Arlington, Va./Washington-Liberty HS), Lexie Deitemeyer (Golden Colo./Golden HS), Lexi Haymart (El Dorado Hills, Calif./Ponderosa HS), Lindsay Hemming (Orinda, Calif./Miramonte HS), Ellie Hendren (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Mountain Vista HS, Ava Langheim (St. Louis, Mo./Whitfield School), Lexie Martin (Keller, Texas/Keller HS), Delainey Pisaruk (Phoenix, Ariz./Pinnacle HS), Anna Ryan (Alamo, Calif./Monte Vista HS), Charli Sunahara (Chino, Calif./Ruben S. Ayala HS), Kylie Taylor (Eugene, Ore./Churchill HS),  Tay Thomas (Pleasant Hill, Calif./College Park HS), Vivian Vallely (Newport Beach, Calif./Newport Harbor HS) and Amanda Wong (Santa Ana, Calif./Foothill HS).
 
Live stream links will be provided on PepperdineWaves.com. Admission to the event is free. Because of limited bleacher seating, fans may choose to bring a blanket or chair to sit on the hillside. Fans can park in the Firestone Fieldhouse lot. Parking is limited, so plan to arrive early.
 
Pepperdine has transitioned to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation this season and joins Cal Poly, Cal State Bakersfield, Hawai'i, Pacific, San Diego, UC Davis, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara and Incarnate Word in the conference.
 
Last season, Pepperdine won the PCSC team championships for the second straight year. Head Coach Ellie Monobe was named the PCSC Coach of the Championship Meet for the third consecutive season and Monique Demaisip was named the PCSC Dive Coach of the Championship meet. The Waves bring back 23 returners from the championship squad while adding nine newcomers.
