Swim & Dive Prepped for Invitational Action to Conclude Fall Schedule

MALIBU, Calif. –  In their final meets before the new year, Pepperdine diving travels downtown to USC for the Trojan Diving Invitational from Nov. 20-22. Meanwhile, the swimmers will travel to Boise, Idaho, for the Northwest Collegiate Swimming Invitational from Nov. 21-23.

 

The diving events will be streamed on B1G+ for subscribers, with results available on DiveMeets here

 

It will be the divers' first competition since their Oct. 9 home meet against San Diego State. The Waves will face host-school USC, BYU, Cal Baptist, Cal State Bakersfield, Fresno State, Grand Canyon, Idaho, UCLA, UC San Diego, and UNLV. 

 

In their last time out, Jackie Johnson won the 1-meter with a score of 230.93. She hopes to build on what has been a strong freshman debut. Amanda Wong was the next highest scorer for Pepperdine, taking third with 220.95 points.

 

Dive Schedule:

Thursday:

1-meter prelim @ 11 a.m.

Finalist warm-up @ 1:20 p.m.

1-meter finals @ 1:40 p.m.

 

Friday:

3-meter prelim @ 11 a.m.

Finalist warm-up @ 1:20 p.m.

3-meter finals @ 1:40 p.m.

 

Saturday:

Platform prelim @ 11 a.m.

Finalist warm-up @ 1:20 p.m.

Platform finals @ 1:40 p.m.

 

The swimmers are also gearing up for a multi-day meet. They will participate in the annual Northwest Collegiate Swimming Invitational for three days. Each day is slated to start at 10 a.m. The Vandal-hosted event will take place at Idaho Central Aquatic Center. 

 

Pepperdine will face host Idaho, Alaska-Fairbanks, Cal State Bakersfield, College of Idaho, Seattle, UTRGV, and Whitman College.

 

Streaming will be available on PepperdineWaves.com when available. 

 

Swim and dive will remain idle until their meeting with San Diego State and Cal State East Bay on Monday, Jan. 5, in San Diego, Calif.

 

ABOUT PEPPERDINE SWIM AND DIVE

Pepperdine swimming & diving has a rich history spanning four decades, having posted top-five finishes in its conference in 32 of 39 seasons. The Waves have captured three conference championships in the past four seasons, its first three conference titles, winning its first MPSF Championship in 2025 after joining the conference the season prior. In 38 seasons in the PCSC, the Waves saw 48 individual champions and 20 PCSC Swimmer or Diver of the Year awards. Andreea Trufasu stands as the program's lone Olympian, having competed in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.
