Six Waves Earn MPSF All-Academic Honors

MALIBU, California – Six members of the Pepperdine men's volleyball team – Trey Cole, Andersen Fuller, Alex Gettinger, Jacob Steele, Spencer Wickens and Austin Wilmot – received All-Academic status from the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation on Monday.
To qualify, student-athletes must have at least a 3.00 cumulative grade-point average, be at least a sophomore academically, have spent a full year at the institution prior to the 2022 season, and competed in at least 50 percent of the team's competitions in 2022.
Wickens is now a four-time MPSF All-Academic honoree, while Gettinger and Steele received it for the third time and Wilmot made it for the second year in a row. It's the first All-Academic award for Cole and Fuller.
Wilmot made the All-MPSF second team, while Wickens and Steele were honorable mention.
Pepperdine (19-10) wrapped up the 2022 season ranked #5 in the country after winning the MPSF Tournament title and competing in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
