Men’s Volleyball Adds Transfer for 2027 Season

MALIBU, Calif. – Pepperdine men's volleyball added Killian Donovan to the team for the upcoming season, head coach Jonathan Winder announced Wednesday.
Donovan comes to Malibu after two seasons at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. As a 6'4" outside hitter, the Sydney, Australian native has played in 111 sets across 34 matches, averaging 3.05 kills per set, leading the league. He also racked up 31 service aces with a total hitting percentage of .241 last season. Capping off his time at Guelph, Donovan was a Second Team All-Canadian.
On the international stage, Donovan has represented his home country of Australia on multiple occasions. Most recently with the U20 Australian Men's Volleyball Team, he has also been named to the Men's Beach Volleyball Team with the U19s.
As an OH, Donovan will join returning outsides Grant Lamoureux and Jose Gomez as the Waves look to get back to the NCAA tournament for the third straight year.

Pepperdine men's volleyball boasts one of the richest histories in collegiate volleyball, with five NCAA National Championships. Four of those championships came under the direction of Hall of Fame coach Marv Dunphy who totaled 612 victories in 34 seasons at the helm. With 19 NCAA Appearances and 63 All-Americans, the program has consistently been a destination for top talent across the country. Under current head coach Jonathan Winder, the Waves reached the NCAA Final Four in his third season at the helm in 2025.
