PALOS VERDES ESTATES, California – The Pepperdine women's golf team, competing against an exceptional field at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, opened the tournament in a tie for ninth place after Sunday's first round.
The Waves shot a 297 at the par-71 Palos Verdes Golf Club. They're tied with #10 Texas and #18 Auburn, and lead #19 Baylor, #33 Vanderbilt and #49 California. Thirteen of the 16 teams are ranked in Golfstat's top 50.
PLAYER SCORES
For Monday's second round, the Waves will be paired with Auburn, Texas and Ohio State and they'll start on the 10th tee beginning at 9 a.m.
