Fisher said: "I chose Pepperdine because I believe in Coach Romar and I know he believes in me."

Romar said: "We are looking forward to having Keith join us. He will definitely bring toughness and experience to our program. We need to become a better rebounding team and he will make us better in that department. He's also very versatile. He is as tough as nails in the paint but can also knock down the three and put the ball on the floor and make plays."

In addition to Fisher, other newcomers for next season will include fellow grad transfer Braun Hartfield (Cleveland, Ohio/San Diego), a 6-foot-6 guard, and four incoming freshmen: 6-foot-10 center Carson Basham (Phoenix, Ariz./Sunnyslope HS), 6-foot-9 forward/center Sekou "Aladji" Gassama, 6-foot-5 guard Houston Mallette (Alameda, Calif./Pacifica Christian HS) and 6-foot-3 guard Mike Mitchell Jr. (San Jose, Calif./Archbishop Mitty HS).

Pepperdine finished the 2020-21 season with a 15-12 record and won the College Basketball Invitational championship.
