Gomez Ends Fall Season With Top-10 Showing at Stanford

PALO ALTO, California – Lauren Gomez shot her third consecutive 1-under 70 on Sunday to finish in the top 10 as the Pepperdine women's golf team concluded the fall season at the Stanford Intercollegiate.
The Waves finished in 15th place with a three-day total of 894 (296-299-299) at the par-71 Stanford Golf Course.

Pepperdine's season will resume at San Diego State's Lamkin Invitational, set for February 14-15.

PLAYER SCORES
- Freshman Lauren Gomez (Murrieta, Calif.) tied for seventh place with a 3-under 210 (70-70-70). After opening with five straight pars, she had her only miscue of the day with a double-bogey on 17. But she came back with birdies on 2, 6 and 10 to get back to 1-under. It's her second consecutive top-10 finish, and she ended the fall with three top-20s in four starts. She was one of only four players to shoot below-par all three rounds. Gomez had 42 pars in all, three more than any other player in the field.
- Sophomore Lion Higo (Gold Coast, Australia) tied for 59th at 226 (72-76-78). She had an eagle on the par-5 12th hole on Sunday, her last hole of the tournament.
- Sophomore Kaleiya Romero (San Jose, Calif.) tied for 63rd at 227 (75-77-75). She had two birdies in the final round.
- Freshman Milla Sagel (Bielefeld, Germany) tied for 71st at 231 (79-76-76). She posted four birdies on Sunday.
- Senior Sifan He (Shanghai, China) was 87th at 254 (88-85-81). She had one birdie today.
