MALIBU, Calif. — Hannah Frohling, Jaiden Farr and Heidi Dyer earned West Coast Conference All-Academic recognition for the Pepperdine women's volleyball team, as announced by the league office on Wednesday. Frohling was named to the team for the first time, while Farr and Dyer were tabbed honorable mention status.
Frohling garnered CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team honors earlier this month and received Pepperdine Scholar-Athlete and WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll 'gold' honors last season. So far this year, she currently has a 3.897 grade point average while studying Sports Medicine. Frohling was also a success on the court for the Waves, earning All-WCC honorable mention status after leading the team with 3.69 kills/asset and 0.30 aces/set throughout 31 matches this season. The sophomore outside hitter from Edmond, Okla. was one of only two Waves to compete in every single set.
Dyer, a two-time Pepperdine Scholar-Athlete and WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll 'bronze' honoree, garnered honorable mention honors after marking a 3.31 GPA in Integrated Marketing Communications. On the court, Dyer posted 1.62 kills/set, 5.03 assists/asset, 0.17 aces/set, 2.29 digs/set and 0.67 blocks/set for the Waves in an all-around effort. The junior setter/right side from San Clemente, Calif. played in 115 of the Waves 118 total sets this season.
Farr, a sophomore from Peterson, Utah, picked up the honorable mention acclaim as well. She was a Pepperdine Scholar-Athlete and WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll 'silver' honoree last season and has produced a 3.631 cumulative grade point average at Pepperdine while studying Sports Medicine. On the court, the first Wave off the bench for back-row support marked 0.24 aces/set and 2.07 digs/set for her team this season.
