CAREER: Finished his career with the program's second-fastest times in the 1,500 meters (3:47.71), 10,000 meters (30:10.14); plus the third-fastest times in the mile (4:16.51), 3,000 meters (8:28.17) and the 5,000 meters (14:28.83). In cross country, Flint ranks sixth in the 10K (31:16.2) and eighth in the 8K (24:17.2) distances.
PEPPERDINE XC 2023 (SR): Competed in all six races and was Pepperdine's top finisher in each of the last five races ... Was third at the Waves Invitational, covering the 6-kilometer course in 18:28.7 (9/1) ... Had a top-30 finish at the UC Riverside Invitational by running the 8-kilometer course in 24:19.7 to place 28th (9/16) ... Ran the eighth-fastest 8K time in program history with his time of 24:17.2 at the Bronco Invitational (10/14) ... Finished in 25th place at the WCC Championships, giving Pepperdine its best finisher at the conference race in six years ... Ran the program's sixth-fastest 10-kilometer cross country time at the NCAA West Regional with his time of 31:16.2 (11/10).
PEPPERDINE TRACK 2024 (SR): Competed in nine outdoor track meets ... Ran personal best times in the 800-meters, mile, 5K and 10K in his final season ... Clocked the program's third-fastest mile with his time of 4:16.51 at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic (3/29-30) ... Ran his collegiate-best 800-meter dash time of 1:56.10 at the Chris Rinne Invitational (4/19-20) ... Set a new personal-best 5K time of 14:28.83 at the Oxy Invitational, which was the third-fastest time in Pepperdine history (5/4) ... Capped off his collegiate career by running a new personal best time of 30:10.14 in the 10K at the Franson Last Chance meet to place ninth (5/9-11).
PEPPERDINE XC 2022 (JR): Competed in four out of the five meets … Had a season-best of 24:34.1 in the 8K at the WCC Cross Country Championships (10/28), which is the ninth fastest time all-time.
PEPPERDINE XC 2021 (SO): Competed in six of the seven races … Was Pepperdine’s #3 runner at the NCAA West Regional, completing the 10K course in a time of 32:27.5, which etched his name 14th on the Pepperdine all-time list … Set a new personal record and had the 10th-fastest 8K time at the Bronco Invitational (10/16) in a time of 24:46.6 … Finished in the Waves’ top five at all six meets.
PEPPERDINE XC 2020-21 (FR): Was Pepperdine’s #5 runner in the only race of the season at the WCC Championships (2/24) ... Ran the 8K course in 26:46.2.
PEPPERDINE TRACK 2023 (JR): Ran in eight out of the nine meets … Competed mainly in the 5,000 meters, and also ran the 10,000 meter, 1,500 meters, and 3,000 meters … Had a season-best of 14:40.77 in the 5,000 meter at the Bob Larsen Distance Carnival (3/24) … Earned a season best in the 10,000 meter of 30:19.5 at the Bryan Clay Invitational (4/13).
PEPPERDINE TRACK 2022 (SO): Ran at eight of the 10 meets … Had a strong campaign marking his name on three different Pepperdine all-time lists … Ran the 1,500 meters twice, the 3,000 meters once, the 5,000 meters three times and the 10,000 meters once … His 8:47.10 in the 3,000 meters was the team’s fastest time this season (at Beach Opener on 3/5) … Had the second-fastest time in the 1,500 meters in a time of 3:47.71, which also is the second-fastest time on the Pepperdine all-time list (at Triton Invitational on 4/9) … Marked the seventh-fastest all-time 5,000 meter time with a 14:52.59 (at Oxy Invitational on 5/7) … Collected a time of 30:56.31 in the 10,000 meters at the Bryan Clay Invitational (4/15), which is the fourth-fastest all-time … Also ran on the distance medley relay team at the Rossi Relays (2/26).
PEPPERDINE TRACK 2021 (FR): Was one of four runners to compete at all eight regular-season meets ... Had a promising freshman season amidst an upperclassman-heavy team ... Ran primarily the 1,500 meters four times and the 5,000 three times ... His 4:01.52 in the 1,500 meters was the fastest time by a Pepperdine freshman since 2019 ... Best in the 5,000 was a 15:24.48 at Azusa Pacific (4/3) ... Also ran the leadoff leg of Pepperdine’s only 4x800 relay of the season at Westmont (2/13).
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Flower Mound (Texas) High School in 2020 … Ran four years of varsity cross country and three in track … Was an all-district cross country selection as a senior … Helped Flower Mound win the Nike South Regional Championships and qualify for Nike Cross Nationals as a sophomore … Was part of a Flower Mound program that placed third at the 6A state cross country meet three times during his career … Was an AP Scholar with Honor.
CLUB: Ran for the Flower Mound Track Club/North Texas Road Warriors for three years … Qualified for AAU Nationals in 2016 … Was a USATF National qualifier in 2015.
PERSONAL: Majoring in finance ... Born in Irving, Texas … Son of Gordon and Denise Flint … Has one sibling, Brie … Chose to attend Pepperdine because of “its beautiful campus and I felt like I would fit in the team and develop to my peak as a runner. It has an excellent business school, a small campus and a Christian environment."
FAVORITES: Enjoys playing spikeball, volleyball and soccer … Has a black belt in American Karate and has studied both Goju Shorei and Jujitsu ... Favorites include Lionel Messi (pro athlete), Grown Ups 2 (movie), Attack on Titan (TV show), Lil Uzi Vert (musical artist) and soccer (sport other than running) ... Favorite thing about running is “how rewarding it is to do something totally amazing in a race or workout, and look back on it after it’s done.”
