Brad Rostratter

Brad Rostratter joined the Pepperdine men’s volleyball coaching ranks in January 2017 as a volunteer assistant coach and was elevated to the role of assistant coach in June 2017.  In March 2019, he left partway through his second year as a full-time assistant to become the first-ever head coach at Vanguard University.

Before Pepperdine, he served as Director of Volleyball Operations at Arizona State University in 2016. In 2015, he was a Boys Select A1 Camp Coach at the USAV High Performance in Des Moines, Iowa.  He was a graduate assistant at Concordia University in Irvine, Californa, where he worked toward a Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletic Administration. CUI was also his alma mater for undergraduate work as he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies and communications in May 2013. While coaching at CUI, he also headed the Girls Volleyball Team at T-Street Volleyball Club in Irvine, Calif. from 2014-16.

Prior to coaching with the Eagles, Rostratter played as a member of the squad.  He helped the team earn an NAIA national championship title in 2013.

In Lincoln, Nebraska, in 2013, he was the VIS Coordinator for the U.S. Women’s National Team, where he worked with DataVolley and live stats for the squad.  Directly prior to that, Rostratter served as the Pan-Am Cup Volunteer Assistant Coach for the U.S. Men’s National Team in Anaheim, California.

Prior to his time at CUI, Rostratter also attended Cal State Fullerton and Orange Coast College. While playing at OCC, he served as the team captain.

From 2010 to 2016, he worked as the head boys’ volleyball coach for Balboa Bay Volleyball Club in Costa Mesa, the assistant boys’ volleyball coach for Newport Harbor High School in Newport Beach and the head junior varsity girls’ volleyball coach for Laguna Beach High School in Laguna Beach.
