Greg Bintz joined the Pepperdine University Athletics department in February 2026 as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications.

In his role, he will serve as the primary contact for Pepperdine Waves women's volleyball, men's tennis, men's golf, and baseball.

Prior to joining Pepperdine, Bintz was the Graduate Assistant for Athletics Communications at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay. In his role with the Phoenix, he served as the primary contact for women's basketball, men's and women's swimming and diving, men's and women's soccer, and men's and women's cross country.

Throughout his tenure, he oversaw the communications and social media for four NCAA Tournament teams (2023 women's golf, 2023 men's soccer, 2024 and 2025 women's basketball). During the 2024-2025 basketball season, he was part of a team that helped promote Green Bay women's basketball's regular season championship, which took place on March 1, 2025, in front of 3,531 fans at the Kress Center, the highest attendance at a Green Bay women's basketball home game in over five years. He also promoted four women's basketball Horizon League All-League Award winners, three All-Academic Honors, Horizon League Tournament MVP Natalie McNeal, and four different Horizon League Players of the Week (spanning seven different weeks), which was the most since the 2012-13 season. He also helped promote six Green Bay swimmers to the Horizon League All-League Academic Team and covered multiple program records at the conference championship. During his tenure as a Graduate Assistant, impressions on the Green Bay women's basketball Facebook page jumped 5,200 percent, garnering 8.7 million total views, while the men's soccer Facebook page saw a 221 percent increase in impressions.

During the 2023-2024 season, Bintz was responsible for the promotion of three men's soccer All-League award winners, a trio of United Soccer Coaches Association (USCA) All-Region honorees, and defender Hesron Barry's journey as a USCA All-American Third Team and Academic All-America Team recipient, as well as his professional signing with the New England Revolution. He assisted in the promotion of four women's basketball Horizon League All-League award winners and Horizon League Tournament MVP Natalie McNeal, as well as Hall of Fame Head Coach Kevin Borseth's nomination as a finalist for the Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year award. In his first season covering the women's basketball team, overall impressions on Facebook crossed three million, a 2,900 percent increase from the 2022-23 season, and impressions on Instagram climbed over 505,000, an over 1,000 percent increase from the 2022-23 season. Additionally, he promoted six Phoenix swimmers to the Horizon League All-Academic Teams, Max Kasal's participation in the USA Swimming TYR Pro series, and covered the retirement of legendary diving coach Tom Stover, who mentored student-athletes for 55 years and was responsible for 15 NCAA Zone qualifiers.

Before becoming the Graduate Assistant for Athletics Communications, Bintz worked as a student intern in the UW-Green Bay athletics department before becoming the Coordinator of Athletics Communications. In the spring of 2023, he promoted the Green Bay women's golf team's first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance and helped promote Horizon League Coach of the Year Lee Reinke, and two other All-League award recipients.

Bintz also held previous video production positions with WFRV-TV Local 5 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, in addition to the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (High-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers), and the Green Bay Glory, where he also served as a sideline reporter and play-by-play personality. He was also the public address announcer for the Green Bay Ribbons baseball club for three seasons.

He graduated from UW-Green Bay in December of 2023 with a bachelor's degree in communication before obtaining a master's degree in Sports Management from UW-Green Bay in May 2025.
