PEPPERDINE XC 2021 (SO): Ran in six of the seven races … Was Pepperdine’s #1 runner at The Master’s Invitational (9/25) and ran the 8K course in a time of 27:18.6 … Posted a personal-best 8K of 26:36.8 at the Bronco Invitational (10/16) and personal-best 10K of 34:20.2 at the NCAA West Regional (11/12).
 
PEPPERDINE XC 2020-21 (FR): Competed in the only race of the season at the WCC Championships (2/24) ... Ran the 8K course in 28:04.1.
 
PEPPERDINE TRACK 2022 (SO): Competed in seven of the 10 meets … Ran primarily in the 1,500 meters three times (best of 4:11.70 at Cal State LA Twilight Invitational on 4/14) and the 5,000 meters three times (best of 15:36.31 at the Oxy Distance Carnival on 3/12) … Ran once in the 800 meters at the Beach Opener (3/5) in a time of 2:13.85.

PEPPERDINE TRACK 2021 (FR): Was one of four runners to compete at all eight regular-season meets ... Ran the 1,500 meters five times (best of 4:14.41 at Azusa Pacific on 5/14) and the 5,000 three times (best of 16:07.86 at Azusa Pacific on 4/3).
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Mountain View (Wyo.) High School in 2020 ... Also attended Kelly Walsh High School, located in Casper, Wyo., from 2016-2019 … Ran two seasons of varsity cross country and three years of varsity track … In outdoor track, ran on Kelly Walsh’s sprint medley relay team that finished seventh at the state meet as a junior … In cross country, helped Kelly Walsh place seventh at the WHSAA 4A State Championships as a junior … Graduated with honors from Mountain View (Wyo.) High School and was ranked in the top 10% of his class.

PERSONAL: Majoring in pre-accounting ... Born in Mitchell, S.D. … Son of Scott and Janel Gromer ... Has four siblings: Preston, Michaela, Hayden and Brandon … Siblings Michaela and Preston attend Pepperdine … Brother, Preston, also ran on the Pepperdine men’s cross country and track teams … Chose to attend Pepperdine because of “the beautiful campus, great academics and the Christian environment.”

FAVORITES: Enjoys hiking, traveling, going to the beach and being around people … Favorites include 1984 (book), Denver Nuggets (pro sports team), Lost (TV show), The Dark Knight (movie) and basketball (sport other than running) ... Favorite thing about running is “the sport is very pure. I like the simplicity of it; everyone is competing to see who can cross the finish line first.”
