Pepperdine's runners will now wait for the postseason picture to become clearer as other programs wrap up their regular seasons. The NCAA West Preliminary qualifiers will be announced May 21. A top-45 time would automatically punch an athlete's ticket to the regionals in Fayetteville, Ark. May 27-30. After scratches have been accounted for, runners that hover around the top-60 still have an outside chance to make the meet.Â
In the west, Lizzy Crawford is currently ranked 38th in the women's 10K (33:44.39) while Elijah Gentry is 48th in the men's steeplechase (8:49.70). If successful in securing a top-45 time they would become just the second and third individuals to represent the orange and blue on the regional stage.Â
