The Waves own a 28-21 advantage in the all-time series, including an 18-6 record at home against the Tigers. It's been a seesaw battle between the programs, with neither team having won more than two in a row since 2022. Pepperdine has gotten the best of Pacific lately, winning three of the last five, although the Waves had to salvage the series in Stockton last season. Pepperdine has won five of the last six contests when played in Malibu, including a three-game sweep in 2022.
WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE?
Redshirt junior starting pitcher Collin Valentine has provided the Waves consistency on the hill this season. The southpaw ranks third on the team in ERA (4.14) while working 37 innings so far this season, second-most only behind Tommy Scavone's 43.1. He has sat down lefties this season, allowing just a .135 average (5-for-37) against left-handed batters.
HORTON CAN HIT
Nash Horton had made a great impact in the Waves' lineup this season, recording a .259 average through 58 at-bats. The freshman has driven in five, scored four runs, drawn six walks, and been hit by a pitch once.
THE GREAT 8
Daniel Patterson has been putting up all-conference numbers this season, boasting a .301 average - only trailing freshman James Dell'Amico - while rocking a .950 OPS. His eight home runs are part of a four-way tie for the second-most in the West Coast Conference. Of Patterson's 37 hits this season, 18 have gone for extra bases (nine doubles, one triple, eight homers), which ranks as the second-most in the conference. He has racked up 71 total bases so far in 2026, which slots as the fourth-most in the WCC.
WELL DUNN
Outfielder Trey Dunn has stepped up in a big way at the dish this season. He has a team-leading five multi-RBI games and paced the squad with a 12-game on-base streak that came to an end on March 31, although he has a new three-game streak of such. No. 5 has been a balanced hitter in 2026, recording a .269 average against southpaws (7-for-26) while going 16-for-68 (.235) against right-handers. He's been excellent with runners on base, mashing at a .286 clip (12-for-42) while tallying six RBI with two outs, the most on the team alongside Daniel Patterson and James Dell'Amico.

Catcher Max Aude has been consistent behind the plate and in the batter's box this season. Number nine is hitting .268 entering Friday's clash with Pacific and has been one of Pepperdine's best hitters with runners on base, recording a .400 average (10-for-25). He has been just as good with runners in scoring position, boasting a .545 average (6-for-11).
TERRIFIC TRIO
Daniel Patterson and James Dell'Amico have been guiding the Waves' offense this season. Patterson leads the squad with 12 multi-hit games, while Dell'Amico, Kai Laxa, and Julian Nunez have racked up eight, tying for the second-most on the team. Patterson, 'Delly', and Kai Laxa are in a three-way tie for the longest hitting streak this season (8 games) , with Laxa having that streak snapped on March 31 against CSUN. Patterson is on a brand-new six-game hitting streak.
PUTTING THE 'W' IN WECHSBERG
Graduate pitcher Lucien Wechsberg has been one of the most reliable Waves' arms this season. In 16.0 innings, Lucien has recorded a 1.69 ERA along with a 1.25 WHIP. He has given up 13 hits while striking out 16 and walking seven. Opponents are hitting .228 off of Wechsberg, who has been involved in seven of the Waves' 10 wins (three wins, four saves).
