
Track Prepares to Host Waves Expo Friday

MALIBU, Calif. — Pepperdine track is set to host its second annual Waves Expo Intersquad Friday at 4 p.m. from Stotsenberg Track, bringing a mix of competition, creativity and community engagement to Malibu.
The meet features the Pepperdine track squad split into two teams (White vs. Blue) competing head-to-head in a series of non-NCAA events. The slate of events will feature a 4x100m, 4x200m, DMR and 100m on the women's side with an elimination mile for the men along with a mixed 4x400m relay to cap the evening.
A pair of community races will also be contested, featuring a community mile and 4x100 relay. Registration for the community races can be found here.
Throughout the event, Pepperdine will also recognize its senior student-athletes, honoring their contributions to the program and celebrating their careers at home in Malibu as the season nears its conclusion. The seniors set to be recognized include Parker Buchheit, Lexie Dellivigne, Ashley Eagan, Ryan Fabian, Kaleb McElfish, Jenna Parsio, Kelly Prunzik, Kayla Renner, Hannah Renager, Isabella Reyes, Mia Skuraton, Patrick Thomas and Daniel Whitaker.
The meet marks the lone home event of the season for the track program. It is free and open to the public as fans are encouraged to attend, support and take part in the action.

The Waves will head to the Steve Scott Invitational next, held from May 1-2 in Irvine, Calif.
ABOUT PEPPERDINE CROSS COUNTRY/TRACK
The Pepperdine cross country/track program has a rich history dating back to the 1950s with six total individual national championships to come through the program. As one of the original three programs sponsored by then George Pepperdine College in 1937, the Waves immediately began to make a mark on the track world stage with eight total Olympians and multiple regional champions throughout the program's history.
