Track Headed to Stanford Invitational

MALIBU, Calif. – Pepperdine track will send five runners to the Stanford Invitational Friday and Saturday. Competition from Greater Palo Alto is set for 10 a.m. tomorrow and 11 a.m. Saturday.
"This is the biggest group we've ever brought to Stanford which is a big step for our program," said head coach Lauren Floris. "It's exciting for the team to have the opportunity to be racing against the best of the best, and we expect that competing at this level is going to bring their performances to the next level!"
From Stanford, Friday will see Brittany Rivas compete in the 400m hurdles, Kian Alton in the 400m, Elijah Gentry in the 3000m steeplechase, and Lizzy Crawford in the 10K. Parker Buchheit will be the lone orange and blue runner Saturday, set to compete in the 800m.

Next up is the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational April 11.
ABOUT PEPPERDINE CROSS COUNTRY/TRACK
The Pepperdine cross country/track program has a rich history dating back to the 1950s with six total individual national championships to come through the program. As one of the original three programs sponsored by then George Pepperdine College in 1937, the Waves immediately began to make a mark on the track world stage with eight total Olympians and multiple regional champions throughout the program's history.Â
