MALIBU, Calif. – No. 6 Pepperdine men's volleyball team (17-4, 8-0 MPSF) took home both conference awards this week after sweeping the two-game series at No. 9 BYU for the first time in 24 years.
Ryan Barnett earned Mountain Pacific Sports Federation's Offensive Player of the Week nod while
James Eadie earned Defensive Player of the Week.
Barnett set a new career high Saturday with 20 kills, hitting .558 between the two matches on over 50 attempts.Barnett also tallied three aces, averaging 4.25 kills per set. Eadie had a hand in a team-high eight blocks this weekend in Provo, tying his career high. The middle blocker recorded 10 kills with just one error.
This is Eadie's first weekly honor since March 3, 2025 last season where he notched Defensive Player of the Week after a pair of matches against Grand Canyon University. For Barnett, his last weekly honor came on the national stage, garnering AVCA National Player of the Week April 29, 2025 after leading the Waves to a conference title to earn the automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
