No. 4 Men's Golf Set for Amer Ari Invitational in Hawai'i

MALIBU, Calif. — No. 4 Pepperdine men's golf is set for competition at the Amer Ari Invitational from Mauna Lani Resort Golf on the Kohala Coast in Hawai'i.

Three rounds of stroke play on the par-72 course will be played Feb. 5-7 with 20 teams comprising the field, including eight of the top-20 programs in the most recent Scoreboard team rankings. The tournament is co-hosted by the University of Hawai'i and Hawai'i-Hilo.

The first two rounds will see a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. local time (9:30 a.m. PT). The Waves will tee off holes 13-15 in Thursday's first round and holes 10-12 on Friday. Pepperdine is paired with Texas Tech, Osaka Gakuin and UC Davis in the opening round and will play alongside Georgia Tech, North Carolina and Pacific on Friday.

Pepperdine is coming off a tournament victory at the Southwestern Invitational to open the season this past week, shooting 11-under par as a team, 17 strokes ahead of the runner-up.

Brady Siravo earned second-place individually with Willy Walsh (T-4) and Byungho Lee (T-6) also earning spots in the top-10.

The Waves moved up five spots to No. 4 in the Scoreboard team rankings following the successful open to the season.
Three Waves sit in the top-30 in the Scoreboard individual rankings released today, featuring Mahanth Chirravuri (6th), Siravo (9th) and Walsh (29th).

Chirravuri (No. 6) and Siravo (No. 18) also landed in the top-20 of the PGA Tour University rankings released today.

The Waves will next be in action following the trip to Hawai'i on Mar. 1-3, playing the Southern Highlands Intercollegiate in Las Vegas, hosted by UNLV.
