CARLSBAD, Calif. – The Pepperdine men's golf team finished the 2024-25 campaign came with a 12th place finish at the 2025 NCAA Championships on Monday afternoon.
The 21st-ranked Waves posted their best round of the championships with a 2-over 290 during Monday's fourth round, but ultimately fell short of the top-8 and cut line for match play, which begins Tuesday morning. Pepperdine finished with a tournament total of 1,169 (293-294-292-290) (+15) on the par-72 7,480-yard Omni La Costa Resort & Spa North Course, which was good for a 12th place finish, and was the eighth-best finish in program history.
Individually,
Mahanth Chirravuri led the Waves with a
T-9th finish as he made the NCAA All-Tournament team and became the seventh Wave in program history to earn a top-10 finish at the NCAA Championships. He carded a 1-under 71 with two birdies in his final round to finish at 3-under with a four-day score of 285 (71-73-70-71). Posting three rounds under-par at nationals this week, Chirravuri tied
Michael Putnam for the second most below-par rounds by a Wave in a season with 23. He also finished tied for 6th for the most top-10 finishes by a Wave in a single season with seven, tying
Joe Highsmith and
Andrew Putnam.
During the 2024-25 season, the Waves finished in the top-5 in seven of their 13 tournaments and won their 23rd West Coast Conference Championship. The squad finished T-5th at the Southern Highlands Collegiate, 5th at the NCAA Amherst Regional, 4th at the Sahalee Players Championships, 4th at the Southwestern Invitational, 3rd at the Western Intercollegiate, 2nd at the Tindall Invitational and 1st at the WCC Championships.

- Junior Mahanth Chirravuri (Chandler, Ariz.) finished tied for 9th at 3-under with a four-day score of 285 (71-73-70-71), which earned him a spot on the NCAA All-Tournament team. On Monday, Chirravuri posted a 1-under 71 with birdies on holes 6 and 14. His fourth round performance gave him his third under-par round of the tournament and tied him with Michael Putnam for the second most below-par rounds in a season by a Wave (23). With his T-9th finish, he earned his seventh top-10 finish of the year and became just the seventh Wave in program history to finish inside the top-10 at the NCAA Championships.
- Junior Brady Siravo (Sacramento, Calif.) was 2-over thru 5 during Monday's round, but posted back-to-back birdies on 6 and 7 to move back to even par. Siravo finished his final round with a 1-over 73 and ended the 2025 NCAA Championships tied for 50th at 6-over with a total of 294 (73-74-74-73).
- Sophomore Willy Walsh (San Mateo, Calif.) notched a 5-over 77 in the final round and ended the NCAA Championships tied for 55th with a four-round total of 295 (74-72-72-77) (+7).
- Freshman Luke Bailey (Encinitas, Calif.) finished the NCAA Championships with his best round of the week, posting a 1-over 73 with four birdies. Bailey found back-to-back birdies on holes 4 and 5 before earning a birdie on hole 10 and then closing his tournament with another on 18. He finished the 2025 NCAA Championships tied for 72nd at 14-over with a four-day total of 302 (75-76-78-73).
- Sophomore Kristoffer Kuvaas (Houston, Texas) finished tied for 76th after also recording his best round of the tournament. In the final round, Kuvaas carded a 1-over 73 with birdies on holes 2, 9 and 13 to finish with a four-round score of 305 (81-75-76-73) (+17).
