Final Round of Amherst Regional to Resume Wednesday Morning

AMHERST, Va. – With heavy rain and inclement weather hitting the par-70 7,212-yard Poplar Grove Golf Club on Tuesday afternoon, the final round of the NCAA Amherst Regional has been postponed and will resume at 4:30 a.m. PT tomorrow morning.

After starting the day at 12-over and seven back of the top-five and cut line for the NCAA Championship, the 19th-ranked Waves made up ground during their short stint on the course. Pepperdine is thru 2-4 and now only two back of fifth place with well over half the round left to play.

While Pepperdine (+10) is on the outside looking in, the Waves are within striking distance of #31 Arizona (+8) and Florida Gulf Coast (+8) who are tied for the fifth and final spot in the NCAA Championship in Carlsbad, Calif.
