THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – The Pepperdine men's golf team finished in fourth place at the 46th annual Southwestern Invitational at Sherwood Country Club today. The Waves finished the par 71, 7,081-yard course with a three-round score of 852 (291-280-281).
Pepperdine had an impressive five players shoot under par in the final round as
Kris Kuvaas (-2),
Luke Bailey (-1),
Mahanth Chirravuri (-1),
Byungho Lee (-1) and
William Walsh (-1) all had impressive rounds today.
Texas won the tournament with a three-round total of 844 (289-277-278), while San Diego State and Vanderbilt finished in second and third, respectively. Wells WIlliams (Vanderbilt) won the individual championship after posting a 208 (68-71-69), and Daniel Bennett (Texas), Justin Hastings (San Diego State) and Ian Gilligan (Florida) all tied for second 209.

Team Lineup Scores
- Junior Brady Siravo (Sacramento, Calif.) shot even-par in the final round to finish even for the tournament, 213 (75-67-71). Siravo led the Waves and earned a 13th-place finish at the invitational for his 2nd top-20 finish of the year.
- Junior Mahanth Chirravuri (Chandler, Ariz.) played an even front nine with two birdies before eagling the 538-yard par-5 14th today. He finished with his second-straight round of a 1-under 70, and ended the tournament 2-over (75-70-70) and tied for 21st.
- Graduate Nathan Han (Somers, N.Y.) notched four birdies in the final round, but posted a 1-over 72 today. Han finished with a total score of 216 (71-73-72) to finish 3-over and tied for 26th.
- Sophomore Byungho Lee (Seoul, South Korea) ended the Southwestern Invitational 4-over and in 30th with a total score of 217 (77-70-70). In his final round, Lee tallied three birdies to finish 1-under for the second day in a row.
- Sophomore William Walsh (San Mateo, Calif.) finished the tournament 5-over and tied for 31st with a three-day score of 218 (70-78-70). Today, he posted a 1-under 70 with six birdies to secure his second below par round of the week.
Competing as Individuals
- Sophomore Kristoffer Kuvaas (Houston, Texas) shot an impressive 2-under 69 in the final round. He finished the Southwestern Invitational 9-over and tied for 44th - 222 (79-74-69) and tied for 44th.
- Freshman Luke Bailey (Encinitas, Calif.) finished tied for 48th after a three-round score of 10-over, 223 (75-78-70). Today, Bailey notched four birdies and shot a 1-under 70.
- Junior Joshua Koo (Cerritos, Calif.) totaled a three-day score of 233 (82-79-72) to finish 20-over and 71st. Koo collected three birdies while shooting 1-over in today's round.
