Men's Golf Finishes Second at The Tindall

KING COUNTY, Wash. – The #25 Pepperdine men's golf team finished in second-place at The Tindall on Tuesday, amassing a three-round score of 833 (275-278-280) at the par-71, 7,016-yard Aldarra Golf Club.

Pepperdine shot under par as a team through each round to finish 19-under overall.  The last time the Waves shot under par in each round as a team was at the Amer Ari Intercollegiate on February 8-10, 2024.  #24 Utah took home the team hardware with a 33-under 819 through the tournament, while South Carolina (-17), Cal (-13) and UCLA (-11) rounded out the top-five finishers.  South Carolina and UCLA are also receiving votes in the Bushnell/Golfweek national coaches poll this week.

Three Waves finished in the top-15 throughout the tournament, led by an impressive outing by freshman Luke Bailey who finished tied for sixth after totaling a 7-under 206 for his first top-10 career finish.  He marked eight birdies and two eagles, including his first career hole-in-one in the first round.  Mahanth Chirravuri and Brady Siravo also finished well for the Waves after tying for 11th and 14th respectively.

PLAYER SCORES
  • Freshman Luke Bailey (Encinitas, Calif./Santa Fe Christian HS) finished with a three-round score of 206 (65-69-72) to tie for sixth.  He shot one-over in the front nine and bogeyed coming out of the turn to start the back nine, though he got back into his groove on hole 12 with his second eagle of the tournament.  He birdied on 14 to go back under par, but ended his round with a double, finishing over par in his first round this weekend.
  • Junior Mahanth Chirravuri (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton HS/USC) finished tied for 11th with a score of 207 (72-68-67) for his seventh top-20 career finish at Pepperdine.  He started off hot on his flawless front nine with a trio of birdies on holes five through seven.  He maintained composure on the back nine, eagling 11 to go 5-under heading into his final few holes of the tournament, though a bogey caught him on 17 to close the day.
