LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The Pepperdine track team will travel down the road to Occidental College for the first postseason meet of the spring season.

Track events began at 12:30 p.m. with the 100-meter hurdles and will conclude with the 5,000-meter run, set to begin at 8:40 p.m.

Starting the day for the Waves will be
Maddy Ortman with the 100-meter hurdles looking to set a personal best for the third meet in a row. Ortman ran a 15.56 seconds her last time out April 20 at UC Riverside. She will also partake in the 400-meter hurdles later in the day where she holds the fifth-best school time of 1:06.73.

Next up is the 100-meter dash. For the women,
Kaley Peterson, Lexie Dellevigne, and
Mia Skuraton will be running for the Waves and
Will Watkins will represent the men. Peterson holds the fourth fastest time in school history at 12.10 seconds while Watkins has the third fastest men's time at 11.17.

Rounding out the sprint events, the same 100-meter squad of Peterson, Skuraton, Dellevigne, and Watkins will run the 200-meter dash.

For the mid-distance events,
Caroline Graham leads the pack for the women with a 2:16.15 best while
Ryan Hemphill stands out among the men, looking to improve on his Pepperdine record of 1:49.81.

Six Waves will represent in the 1,500-meter run. Among those running,
Abby Winter has the best time of the season with a 4:43.75 ran April 11 while
Kaleb McElfish holds the fastest time for the men this season, running a 3:55.56 at UCLA March 22.

Pepperdine will have one relay team represented for the 4x400-meter.

Lastly, the 5,000-meter will finish out the day.
Elle Shrader holds the three fastest times this season, looking to improve upon her March 19 time of 17:40.88 while
Johnathan Flint will try to move up in the top 10 all-time Pepperdine rankings, sitting at third with a 14:30.22.

The final event is scheduled to begin at 8:40 p.m.
