SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The Pepperdine men's golf team finished a strong performance at The Goodwin on Saturday, finishing eighth out of 31 teams at the par-70, 7,193-yard TPC Harding Park.
Freshmen
Kristoffer Kuvaas and
William Walsh both finished in the top-10, tied for sixth with final scores of 208. The Waves finished the tournament with an 851 (281-288-282) after three rounds, posting the 2-over to stay in eighth in the third-round. Pepperdine was only five strokes out of fifth-place.
Georgia took home the hardware with a 1-stroke margin, while Utah finished runner-up.
PLAYER SCORES
- Freshman Kristoffer Kuvaas (Houston, Texas) shot a 208 (71-67-70) for another top-10 finish. He's had two in as many tournaments. He marked three birdies in the round today, including a 2-under output on the back nine, while amassing 11 throughout the weekend.
- Freshman William Walsh (San Mateo, Calif.) also shot a 208 (70-68-70) to finish tied for sixth. He shot 3-under through 12 holes in the middle of the day and finished with 11 birdies in three rounds as well.
- Sophomore Mahanth Chirravuri (Chandler, Ariz.) posted a 212 (67-75-70) to close out the tournament, marking a pair of birdies in the final round. He finished with nine overall.
- Sophomore Brady Siravo (Sacramento, Calif.) tied for 145th with a 226 (73-81-72) and picked up three birdies this weekend.
- Sophomore Joshua Koo (Cerritos, Calif.) shot a 233 (77-78-78) to finish 165th and amassed three birdies.
