MALIBU, Calif. – The Pepperdine Swim program completed the 2024 competition calendar as they finished the Trailblazer Invite in St. George, Utah today.
Also today, three Pepperdine divers competed at the Trojan Diving Invitational in the 3-meter competition in Los Angeles, Calif.
SWIM RECAP
PRELIMS
In the 200 back,
Lindsay Hemming (Orinda, Calif.) and
AJ Adams (Castle Rock, Colo.) earned respective times of 2:06.93 and 2:07.03 to place 30th and 32nd and qualify for the finals.
Sophia Ware (Allen, Texas) posted a 2:07.25 and also qualified for the finals after the scratches were submitted.
Alexandra Browne (Arlington, Va.) clocked a 51.73 in the 100 free, good for 19th and a spot in the finals.
In the 200 breast,
Charli Sunahara (Chino, Calif.),
Mollie Cho (Frisco, Texas),
Kiana Fan (Irvine, Calif.),
Nora Rabe (Wayzata, Minn.) and
Syd Abild (Holyoke, Mass.) finished 20th, 21st, 24th, 29th and 32nd respectively to all collect spots in the finals. They finished with respective times of 2:22.85, 2:22.95, 2:23.23, 2:24.94 and 2:26.25 in the prelims.
Emme Spevak (Austin, Texas) completed the 200 fly in 2:07.71, good for a 21st-place finish and a spot in the finals.
FINALS
INDIVIDUALS
Adams, Hemming and Ware took 30th, 31st and 32nd in the 200 back after they notched respective times of 2:07.67, 2:07.95 and 2:08.27.
In the 100 free, Browne earned a 17th-place finish with a time of 51.37, just 0.08 seconds off the school record.
Sunahara, Fan, Cho, Rabe and Abild placed 20th, 21st, 24th, 27th and 31st in the 200 breast finals, respectively. Sunahara led the way with a 2:22.19.
In the 200 fly, Spevak clocked a time of 2:06.80, good for a 20th-place finish.
Ansley Halbach (Watkinsville, Ga.) was less than half a second away from cracking the Waves all-time top-10 list in the 1650 free after swimming the fastest for Pepperdine and earning a time of 17:47.66 in the event.
RELAYS
The squad of Browne, Hemming,
Elliot Easton (Tampa, Fla.) and
Anna Ryan (Alamo, Calif.) earned points with a 15th-place finish in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:33.11.

DIVING RECAP
PRELIMS
All three of Pepperdine's divers who competed in the 3-meter competition qualified for the finals.
Amanda Wong (Santa Ana, Calif.),
Lexie Martin (Keller, Texas) and
Delainey Pisaruk (Phoenix, Ariz.) earned respective scores of 217.55, 209.15 and 199.30 in the prelims.
FINALS
In the finals, Wong tallied 191.75 points for a total of 409.30 on the day, good for a 13th-place finish. Martin came in 15th after earning 178 points in the finals and collecting a total 387.15 points today. Pisaruk posted 176.8 in the finals to earn a 17th-place finish and a total of 376.10 points on the day.

"I am very proud of how our women wrapped up the midseason," head coach
Ellie Monobe said. "We had a rough morning, but finished the meet on a strong note. As a staff, we are very pleased where the program is at and excited for the second half of our season."
