ALPHARETTA, GA. – The #18 Pepperdine men's golf team finished the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational this afternoon. The Waves finished in sixth place after posting an 861 (288-288-285).
The Waves were highlighted by
Mahanth Chirravuri who notched a three-day score of 209 (73-70-66), good for a tie for fifth place. This is Chirravuri's 5th top-10 finish as a Wave and his second this year.
Duke won the tournament with a three-round score of 836 (283-282-271), while UCLA and Virginia rounded out the top three.
PLAYER SCORES
- Junior Mahanth Chirravuri (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton HS/USC) finished tied for fifth after shooting an impressive 209 on the weekend (73-70-66). Chirravuri collected seven birdies, including a 5-under on the front nine today.
- Freshman Luke Bailey (Encinitas, Calif./Santa Fe Christian HS) posted a 214 this weekend (67-76-71), and he tied for 17th. Bailey tallied three birdies in his final round.
- Sophomore William Walsh (San Mateo, Calif./Junipero Serra HS) ended up tied for 42nd after notching a 220 (74-71-73). Walsh picked up one birdie today, as well as one eagle during the tournament.
- Junior Brady Siravo (Sacramento, Calif./Jesuit HS) birdied hole-5 and hole-12 today. He finished tied for 61st with a score of 224 (74-77-73).
- Sophomore Byungho Lee (Seoul, South Korea Spring Creek Academy) completed his tournament with a score of 226 (77-71-78), and he tied for 63rd. Lee amassed four birdies during the tournament.
