Pepperdine Completes Second Round at Georgia Collegiate Invitational

ALPHARETTA, GA. – The Pepperdine men's golf team is through two rounds at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational.

The Waves are even through two rounds after shooting an even 288 in both of their first two rounds, and they are currently tied for eighth. Pepperdine has been highlighted by Luke Bailey and Mahanth Chirravuri who are both 1-under after 36 holes and tied for 13th. The Waves will tee on hole 10 starting at 7:15 a.m. PT tomorrow morning.
 
UCLA has the team lead after posting two rounds of 280, and they sit at 16-under. Virginia is one-stroke behind in second.  Duke, Charlotte and USC round out the top five.
 
Pepperdine will start the final round beginning at 5:30 a.m. PT, starting on the first tee. The Waves will be paired with Clemson and Tennessee tomorrow morning.

PLAYER SCORES
  • Freshman Luke Bailey (Encinitas, Calif./Santa Fe Christian HS) is tied for 13th and is 1-under after posting a 76 in his second round. He had back-to-back birdies on holes 18 and 1 while he was making the turn during today's round.
  • Junior Mahanth Chirravuri (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton HS/USC) is also tied for 13th after shooting an impressive 2-under 70 today. He collected three birdies while only having one blemish on his scorecard.
  • Sophomore William Walsh (San Mateo, Calif./Junipero Serra HS) is tied for 33rd after notching a 1-under 71 during the second round. He eagled the 542-yard par 5 1st hole after making the turn.
  • Sophomore Byungho Lee (Seoul, South Korea Spring Creek Academy) shot a 1-under today and currently is tied for 46th. Lee had two birdies on the front nine today.
  • Junior Brady Siravo (Sacramento, Calif./Jesuit HS) had two birdies while he shot a 77 today. He is tied for 63rd heading into the final round.
