QUOTABLES

"The Waves had a solid showing for the first travel invite of the year," head coach Ellie Monobe said. "At this point of the season, with the lack of speed and power training, I am thoroughly impressed with how our team is closing their races.  Furthermore, I have been impressed with our distance athletes who have had the largest workload over the weeks and have been stepping up behind the blocks."

"We are starting to show more power on the boards and attention to detail early on this season," diving coach Monique Demaisip said. "Consistency is still something we are working towards. With this being the first travel meet, the Waves were able to adapt to the environment and put up some solid dives against a tough competition today."

RESULTS: 1. Denver 494; 2. UC Santa Barbara 481.50; 3. San Jose State 334; 4. UC Davis 327.50; 5. Cal State Bakersfield 187.50; 6. Pepperdine 139.50.
