PORTLAND, Ore. – The Pepperdine women's track team competed in its second indoor meet of the season on Sunday at the Portland Indoor Meet.
The first race of the day for the Waves was the women's 400 meters and freshman
Mia Skuraton (Mendham, N.J./Perkiomen School) was the top performer in the event. Skuraton clocked in a time of 1:02.49, which was good for second in her heat and ninth overall.
Freshman
Abby Winter (Edina, Minn./Southwest Christian HS) had Pepperdine's best time in the indoor mile, coming in at 5:29.87, which was good for seventh place in her heat.
Freshmen
Caroline Graham (Hockessin, Del./Delaware Military Academy) and
Nicole Hartung (Santa Clarita, Calif./Saugus HS) competed in the women's 800 meters for the Waves. Graham had a showing of 2:31.37 in her heat, while Hartung crossed the line at 2:47.20 in the second heat.
Pepperdine had three groups race in the women's indoor 4x400 meter relay, with sophomore
Kaley Peterson (Sunnyvale, Calif./Saint Francis HS), freshman
Isabella Reyes (Caldwell,Idaho), Skuraton and Winter having the top time. The crew collected a time of 4:13.44 which was good for second in their heat and third overall.
The Waves will round-up the indoor season at the MPSF Championships held at The Podium USA in Spokane, Wash. on Friday, Feb 17 and Saturday, Feb. 18. The meet will be streamed on FloTrack with a subscription required. This will be the first time Pepperdine will compete in the MPSF Championships.
