ALPHARETTA, Ga. – The Pepperdine men's golf team kicked off the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate at the par-72, 7,092-yard Lakeside Course on Friday, shooting an even 288 to tie for 12
th after 18-holes.
Sophomores
Brady Siravo and
Joshua Koo each picked up an eagle, Siravo on the first hole and Koo on the 18
th. Fellow sophomore
Mahanth Chirravuri leads the squad, having shot 2-under after a near-perfect round to tie for 13
th.
The Waves are only one shot behind the team in front of them and six strokes out of the top-five. East Tennessee State leads the field heading into the second round tomorrow after having shot 13-under 275 today.
PLAYER SCORES
- Sophomore Mahanth Chirravuri (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton HS/USC) is tied for 13th after having shot 2-under 70. He posted four birdies throughout the day, including three birdies on his first bogeyless 14 holes.
- Freshman William Walsh (San Mateo, Calif./Junipero Serra HS) is tied for 26th with a 1-under 71 after the first round. He amassed three birdies, including one on a flawless front nine.
- Freshman Kristoffer Kuvaas (Houston, Texas/The Village School) is tied for 51st with a score of 73. He amassed four birdies as well today.
- Sophomore Joshua Koo (Cerritos, Calif./Cerritos HS/Washington) is tied for 55th after tabbing a 74 in the first round. He marked three birdies and eagled the final hole of the day.
- Sophomore Brady Siravo (Sacramento, Calif./Jesuit HS) finished with a score of 75 to sit tied for 63rd. He eagled his first hole of the day and tabbed a birdie on the 18th.

Tomorrow, the Waves will be paired with Georgia Tech and Clemson, teeing off at the first hole beginning at 6:55 a.m. PT.
