Waves Compete in First 2023 Indoor Meet

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico – The Pepperdine women's track team had a strong showing in the Dr. Martin Luther King Invitational at the Albuquerque Convention Center indoor track on Saturday. Ashley Eagan (St. Petersburg, Fla./St. Petersburg HS) highlighted the meet with an 800 meter heat win in a time of 2:29.99.
 
Sophomore Kaley Peterson (Sunnyvale, Calif./Saint Francis HS) represented the Waves in the 60 meters in a time of 7.87.
 
Mia Skuraton (Mendham, N.J./Perkiomen School) had the team's best time in the 400 meters, clocking in at 1:03.36. The Waves had two squads compete in the 4x400 meter relay. Pepperdine's top team in the 4x400m was freshman Isabella Reyes (Caldwell, Idaho), Peterson, Skuraton and Maddy Ortman (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Valor Christian HS).
 
The Waves will be back in action in two weeks as they head to the Pacific Northwest and compete in the Portland Indoor on Sunday, Feb. 5.
