Trio of Waves Named AVCA All-Americans

MALIBU, California – Three members of the Pepperdine men's volleyball team received All-American honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association today, with Bryce Dvorak landing on the second team and Jaylen Jasper and Austin Wilmot receiving honorable mention status.
All three are multiple-time All-Americans. Dvorak was honorable mention last season. Wilmot made the second team in 2021 and was honorable mention in 2020. Jasper was honorable mention three times at Stanford (2018, 2019, 2020).
It's the fifth straight year that Pepperdine has had multiple All-Americans, and it's the third time in the last four years that the Waves produced at least three.
Dvorak (Newport Beach, Calif./Corona del Mar HS), a sophomore setter, made the All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation second team as well. He ranks fourth in the nation in assists (10.80) and is 14th in aces (0.48). He was the AVCA National Newcomer of the Year in 2021.
Jasper (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck Senior HS/Stanford), a graduate opposite, was also All-MPSF honorable mention in his first season with the Waves. He leads the team and is 19th in the nation in kills (3.65), and he's also 18th in points (4.32) and 34th in hitting percentage (.324).
Wilmot (Valley Village, Calif./Crespi Carmelite HS/UC Irvine), a graduate middle blocker, earned his third straight All-MPSF second team honor this season. He's 11th in the nation in hitting (.409) and 13th in blocks (0.99).
The trio helped Pepperdine win the MPSF Tournament title and advance to the NCAA Championships. The #5 Waves face tourney host and #3 UCLA on Tuesday (May 3) at 5 p.m. at Pauley Pavilion.
