PORTLAND, Ore. – The Pepperdine women's track team had a stellar showing in the Portland Invite at the Austin Sports Complex and Chiles Center indoor track on Saturday.
Kaley Peterson (Sunnyvale, Calif./Saint Francis HS) highlighted the meet winning the 60M in a time of 7.91, which is only 0.2 seconds short of the school record.
Senior Riley Wright (Chandler, Ariz./Corona del Sol HS) had a fourth-place showing in the 600 meters for the Waves finishing in a time of 1:47.94.
Abigail Howard (Jefferson, Ga./Jefferson HS) was the top performer in the 60 meter hurdles. The freshman collected a time of 10.17, which was good for sixth place.
Junior Olivia Miller (Tallahassee, Fla./Lawton Chiles HS) had the team's best time in the indoor mile, posting a time of 5:29.85, which was good for seventh place. Junior
Skyler Danley (Easton, Pa./Easton Area HS) represented the Waves in the 3,000 meters in a time of 11:12.97. Danely currently holds the school record in the 3,000 meter in a time of 10:39.88. Pepperdine's top team in the 4x400m was senior

Lauren Rocco (Port Orange, Fla./Spruce Creek HS), who clocked in at 4:10.21, which was good for second place.
"Today was a great day for the Waves," said head coach
Lauren Floris. "All of our ladies raced well and improved on their performances from BYU a few weeks ago. Kaley's win in the 60m was really exciting and Olivia ran a smart and competitive race to win her heat of the mile. Overall a very successful trip to Portland!"
Pepperdine will travel to New Mexico for the Don Kirby Elite Invitational on Feb. 11-12, which will be the last indoor meet before the outdoor season.
